If you ever want to get me really, REALLY REALLY FUCKING WORKED UP ask me why it’s a bad thing that Princess Leia toys/figures/merchandising is almost always just her in this outfit. Why it’s an insult to both the character of Princess Leia and to women and frankly, to Star Wars fans of any gender or sexual orientation.
Excuse me, I have an angry letter to write.
So I’m just gonna stop you there. After a very quick google search, I found out that there are currently 6 variations of the Princess Leia minifigure. Those 6 are (in chronological order from the films), the Senator costume, the Ceremonial costume, the Hoth costume, the Bespin costume, the Slave costume shown above and the Endor costume. Now if you look at the appearances each of the items have, the slave version has appeared in 3 sets (of which one is just a different version of the other, so you could say 2). The others combined have appeared in 11 sets, with the Senator appearing in 5 by itself, way ahead of the Slave, which comes equal 3rd with the Hoth costume. If we look at the videogames, the Hoth, Slave and Endor appear in 2 games each, the Ceremonial and Bespin appear in none, whilst again, the Senator is at the top and appears in 4, most notably as a cameo in Lego Indiana Jones, which implies that this is her main costume. So all in all, the Senator costume is clearly Leia’s main costume and that appears in most sets. The Slave falls in the middle area, which therefore clashes with your previous statement of it being the outfit in which she is “almost always” in. Next time, back up your arguments with actual facts please.
