Remember that episode of courage the cowardly dog where a furry bunny runs away from abusive dog dude to be with her lesbian cat lover
because that is all you need to remember
I really hate shit like this, cause that is not ‘all you need to remember’
This episode opens with Kitty beating the everloving shit out of Courage. Why? Because he’s a dog, and ‘all dogs are evil’. Did Courage himself do anything to her? No. Her actions were fueled by her and Bunny’s mistreatment by a group of dogs.
She beats Courage two more times, then proceeds to cause even more trouble with the family by revealing that Eustace and Muriel have been avoiding their own realities as well.
It isn’t until Courage goes above and beyond what a normal person would do (In my shoes, I wouldn’t bother helping her. She’s attacking with no provocation on my end) to rescue Bunny and get her back with Kitty and out of their situation.
Y’see, that part of the plot isn’t all that needs mentioning. This whole episode deals with some heavy subjects like prejudice, avoiding reality, abusive relationships, and lesbianism.
Courage was a fairly mature show, despite the methods it used to convey it’s messages.
